Session 08

The CORE Process to know & lead yourself

  1. Call it

What was your top learning opportunity?

  2. Own it

Why does it matter? What happens if you do something? What happens if you don’t? What’s it like to be on the other side of you?

  3. Respond

What will you choose to do today, this week, this month? Is it measurable? How will you know you’ve done it?

  4. Execute

When will you do it? What accountability will you hold yourself to?

Session 08

Call it
  • Ask, “What is your greatest learning opportunity?”
  • Get specific. When does it happen? Work or home? Who is involved?
Own it
  • Root cause analysis. Why is this happening?
  • Is this nature, nurture, or choice?
  • What are the long-term consequences if you don’t do anything? Short-term?
  • What’s it like to be on the other side of you when you do this?

Session 08

Respond
  • This is the “action” in the KYLY tool.
  • What is one thing you will work on before we meet again?
  • How will you know if you’ve successfully completed it? It needs to be measurable.
Execute
  • When will you complete the action?
  • What accountability will you hold yourself to?
